Club Notes - 1st March

The Monaghan v Tyrone National League game on Sunday in Inniskeen is an all-ticket game. There will be a total of 15 tickets available to the club and anyone requiring a ticket is asked to contact Eunan Lindsay on 07714254903 before 9pm on Thursday. Anyone wishing to be kept informed about upcoming ticket information by text is also asked to contact Eunan over the next number of weeks.
This Sunday (7th March) will be the final opportunity to pay membership for the 2010 year at current rates. It will be collected in the clubrooms after 10.30am Mass. All players are reminded that they must have their membership paid to be eligible to play football this year and membership must be paid to be eligible for tickets to Tyrone matches.
Thanks to all those who attended the youth presentation on Sunday evening and congratulations are extended to all the award winners. The Pat Cairns Memorial Award, which is presented annually to the Youth Team of the Year, was awarded to the Ladies U14 team who won the League and Championship double. Ryan Devine received the Young Club Person of the Year award. Many thanks to St Peter’s P.S. for hosting the event and to our special guests Pascal McConnell and Aisling O'Kane. A special word of thanks is extended to Foncy McConnell for the production of the individual DVDs for each family at the presentation.
The Ladies Minor team opened their league campaign with a 6-3 to 4-0 win over Ardboe on Saturday. This week they travel to Killeeshil on Saturday for a 4pm throw-in. The U12 girls travel to Claudy on Saturday- for more details contact Claire McGarvey.
The U14 boys’ league campaign gets underway on Saturday with an away fixture against Gortin at 12 noon. Transport leaves the clubrooms at 11.30am sharp. Training continues on Wednesdays at 6.15pm. A trip has been organised for all players who played for the boy’s teams from U8-U16 level last year to attend the Tyrone V Kerry National League game on Saturday 27th March in Healy Park , Omagh. Places can be booked in Sean McCullagh’s shop and will cost £3.
Irish Language classes will take place in the clubrooms on Thursday nights at 7.30pm- Everyone welcome.
Grand draw tickets are available from all players and committee members. Monies will be collected in the clubrooms at 9.30pm on Friday night. All tickets must be returned by 17th of March.
Good luck to Simon Harney and the Omagh CBS squad in the MacRory Cup semi-final against St Mary’s Magherafelt in Celtic Park tonight (3 March).
Tyrone will face Derry in the first round of the Ulster U21 Championship in Healy Park , Omagh on Wednesday 10 March at 8.00pm. Best wishes are extended to Tim Harney and the Tyrone U21 team.
A set of keys have been found in the clubrooms- contact Ciaran Kearney.
Votes of sympathy were passed at the monthly meeting to the Kearney family and to the McLaughlin family, Newtownstewart.
