Commiserations to the Ladies

Hard luck to the Ladies Senior team who suffered defeat at the hands of a more experienced and clinical St Macartan's side in the Senior County Final on Friday night in Greencastle.

While defeat was disappointing for all involved, it must be noted that the girls have been the only other side to contest a Senior County Final in well over a decade outside the 'big 4' of Carrickmore, St Mac's, Aodh Ruadh and Errigal Ciaran. This in itself was a tremendous achievement which shouldn't be understated given the dominance of those 4 teams in Tyrone Ladies Football since the mid 90s, and should give players and management great hope for the future
